Game night at home

Our Valentine's day celebration was shaped by boardgames this year. Since Tarmo and Olli were somewhere in the woods "skiing" we decided to have a different game group at home, wich endded up really nice too.

We invited a selection of people from that group that play in the university on Thursdays afternoon. Jussi, Mikko and Johanna came to visit us, along with pikku Venla: a sweet and pretty girl. It was really nice to play games with such a different group, different tactics used, different speed of each round, and different games too.

Jussi was the first to arrive, and we first played Blue Moon City (Jussi 5 Tapani& Mari 4). After that Tapani and Jussi played Jambo (71-50) and Pylos (Jussi +1)

When the others arrived we played the following games:

Agricola (Johanna 31, Tapani 26, Mikko 25, Mari 23, Jussi 22)
Tapani used a new tactic: did not get any animals, built 3 rooms at once and made a huge big pastor covering all remaining space!

Notre Dame (Mikko 64, Tapani 53, Johanna 50, Jussi 44)

Space Alert (simulation cooperation game! If it wasn't for Shadow Hunters, it would be the nerdest game I've ever played!) The boys were really exited about this game, it was funny to see their faces, like if they were 7 years-old with an exciting new game, hehehe
Jussi was our captain, Tapani the communications officers and Mikko the internal combat smth. Johanna and I were just random spaceship officers.

Tsuro (Mikko, Mari, Jussi, Johanna, Tapani)
Tapani was the first out of the game, and I lost Mikko (winner) by one or two pieces

Velhojen Yö (Johanna wins!)
Nice game to be played in the dark :)

Thank you Mikko, Jussi, Johanna & Venla for the wonderful time together. Welcome again, any time. And let's try to eat less candy next time, hahaha! Damn, we eat a lot of candy :)

And for the others, HYVÄÄ YSTÄVÄN PÄIVÄÄ!
Mari

Yep, a great game night. I got to play the games I wanted to and the way I like. All games went pretty smoothly and quickly. Especially Space Alert was already more satistying than last time. I could already help the team, and also the environment helped. Although you could say that with a lot of background noise like at Alakuppila, it's more authentic...

In Agricola I was trying something new, which didn't really work, but wasn't completely crazy either. I think that in a 5-player game it could actually have worked if I had paid enough attention for the food.

The group was really nice to play with, and I'd do it again any day. Well almost any day.
